How to wrap a wrap
🌯 A Few Tips for Better Wraps
🔥 1. Warm the wrap first.
A warm wrap is easier to roll and less likely to tear. Microwave for 10–15 seconds, warm in a skillet for 20–30 seconds per side, or heat briefly on a grill.
🥣 2. Start with a thin layer of sauce.
Spread a light layer of sauce directly on the wrap before adding any ingredients. This adds flavor and helps hold everything together.
📍 3. Build below center.
Place the filling slightly below the middle of the wrap, closer to you. This makes rolling much easier.
⚖️ 4. Don't overstuff.
A wrap that's too full is difficult to roll and more likely to fall apart while eating.
🥬 5. Distribute ingredients evenly.
Instead of piling ingredients in the center, create an even line of filling from side to side so every bite gets a little of everything.
🤏 6. Fold the sides in first.
Use your pinkies to tuck the sides inward before you begin rolling.
🔄 7. Tuck and roll tightly.
Pull the bottom edge over the filling, tuck it snugly, and continue rolling away from you.
🧴 8. Seal the wrap.
A small dab of sauce on the final edge can help keep the wrap closed.
🔥 9. Toast for extra flavor.
For a crisp exterior, place the finished wrap seam-side down in a hot skillet, grill pan, or on a grill for 1–2 minutes per side.
😋 10. Extra sauce on the side.
If you'd like more sauce, use it as a dip for the finished wrap rather than adding too much during assembly.
